If you are a registered member of the ISTC operating as an independent communicator, you can use this service to add your details to the online directory, or make modifications to existing information.

This is a free service. You must agree to abide by the following Rules before your details can be registered.

RULES

1. You must be a current Corporate or Non-Corporate Member of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Communicators and must abide by the Terms and Conditions set out by the ISTC for membership.

2. You must register your ISTC Membership Number (assigned to you when you joined the ISTC).

3. You must be a registered member of the IASIG (Independent Authors Special Interest Group). If you are not yet a member of the IASIG you can contact the IASIG administrator with your ISTC Membership Number and request membership. The IASIG administrator will then register you for access to the Quality Authors Directory.

4. You must abide by all etiquette agreed in discussions within the IASIG.

5. You must be operating as an independent communicator.

6. You must register your true member status.

7. You should make reasonable endeavours to promote the Directory of Quality Independent Authors in both online and offline material wherever possible. We encourage you to use an email "sig" file, and to include a link and/or banner to this site. To assist you we have provided a selection of banners and link styles for your use.

8. You may submit an Ad Banner to promote your services on this site. Submissions must be 150x50 pixels and use either gif or jpg file formats. Static banners should not exceed 2k and animated banners should not exceed 5k: anything above this will slow the site down. If your banner does not conform to these requirements, we reserve the right not to publish it or to remove it from the Directory.

9. You are encouraged to submit suitable articles to the site. Any articles published will be promoted from the front page of the site, and will have a direct link to the author's Directory listing, and an uncompetitive adbanner at the top of the article, exclusively promoting your Directory listing. Articles should consist of a suitable Title, a short Summary paragraph which will be displayed on the front page, and Article body, which can be unlimited. Please submit articles to the webmaster for review and publishing.
