Overview:

I have been a Technical Author and Editor since 1994. During this time I have produced paper-based and on-line documents for computer software, and operating instructions for mobile phones. |

I have worked with a wide range of software, from word processing and desktop publishing to SGML and HTML.
My previous projects include:
* designing and writing administrator and user guides for specialist computer software
* designing and writing user guides for mobile phones
* customising a mobile phone user guide to suit the requirements of different operators
* writing a procedures manual
* developing a guide for writers
* writing a basic user guide for non-native English speakers
* editing papers for an international conference
* editing academic papers for two international journals
* proof reading an annual statistical publication
* editing master SGML files for multi-territory documents
* producing HTML from master SGML files
* creating Adobe Acrobat files from Word documents
* desiging a quick reference card
* creating graphics, flowcharts and screen captures for technical documents
* writing and editing Visual Basic for Word macros to improve the appearance of Word documents
* writing occasional cookery articles for my local paper
My work is not limited to the above examples, but they give you some idea of the range of work that I can do.
I have the facilities to work remotely, or I can work at your premises if they are close to my home town of Newbury, Berkshire.
