The Independent Authors Special Interest Group (IASIG) is a group of ISTC members who operate as independent companies or consultants.

We created the Directory of Quality Independent Authors to promote our skills and services to businesses that need to communicate information effectively through various media. We hope that this information will help you to find the author who best matches your requirements.

This directory originally came about as a result of collaboration by all members of the IASIG, special mention is given to the following individuals who worked hard to pull it all together, freely and generously giving their time, effort and expertise to the project:

Tony Kershaw - founder of the IASIG newsgroup.

Jane Dards - for original concept, excellent project management, hard work in instigating debates, and gathering all the comments, copy and contributions together.

Jillian Hinds - for web design, application development, and hosting of the site.

Marian Newell - for editing, proofing, testing and copywriting throughout the site.

And to ALL the group members who contributed with suggestions, application testing, article submissions, and their ongoing efforts to promote the Directory.

And last but by no means least, our appreciation also goes to the ISTC, without whose support we would never have been inspired to commence this project in the first place.
